"I am warning about every abuse of the notion of 'sacrificial soul': In the true sense of the word every human soul is a sacrificial soul, as God expects each and every soul to make her personal contributions to the unlocking of the fruits made available by the Sufferings sustained by Jesus.

This unlocking pertains to that which the apostle Saint Paul called 'complementing what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ'. That is why Christian faith is fully based on Redemption through suffering, i.e. through whole-heartedly accepting and lovingly offering up all trials of life in the way of 'complementing', i.e. for the purpose of unlocking the seed of Redemption the suffering Christ has poured out into every soul through the Mystery of Redemption.

A soul who fails to 'sacrifice' herself by offering up all trials Divine Providence allows her to encounter and doing so in the spirit of Christ – i.e. in perfect acceptance and in self-denying Love – for the purpose of allowing these trials to contribute to the accomplishment of God’s Plan of Salvation cannot partake in the final unlocking of the aforementioned seed which enables Redemption to actually produce its effects.

Every soul is a 'sacrificial soul' on account of her helping transform the seed of Redemption for the benefit of her own Eternal Salvation as well as of the Salvation of all creation into a fully matured fruit, and on account of her doing so through making sacrifices of all trials and crosses of her life. A soul who refers to herself as a 'sacrificial soul' and, by so doing, gives the impression that she is in some way or another God’s favourite, makes all and any fruits proceeding from her trials ineffective herself, as every trace of self-elevation defiles anything a soul offers to God.

Offering up, or making sacrifices, is only done in the spirit of Christ inasmuch as trials and crosses are offered up to God in a disposition of unconditional acceptance, sincere self-denying Love, and for the sole purpose of helping to bring forward the fullness of God’s time for the final unlocking of His Plan of Salvation for the benefit of all creation. Any inner resistance or reluctance, any trace of selfishness or self-elevation, any lack of self-denial and every pursuit of any personal interest through the offering of the crosses and trials of life defiles the offering or sacrifice, and thus makes it at least partially unusable to God for the purpose of helping Him wage His battle against the darkness.

The notion of 'sacrificial soul' is often used in a way which would give rise to the assumption that God would use certain souls as sacrificial lambs and not others. This assumption is false. God will not use certain souls as sacrificial lambs and spare others the experience of encountering trials and crosses in life. This would mean God would determine whether a soul gets to endure sufferings in life or not, and to what extent, and that He would thus render inoperative any use of the soul’s free will to accept any crosses and trials whole-heartedly and of her own accord, or not. In so doing He would also take all and any merits from the souls who are willing to spontaneously and lovingly accept their crosses, as these souls would then likely only accept their sufferings because God expects them to. Other souls, the ones that would be referred to as 'non sacrificial souls', would then also be deprived of the chance to gain merits by finding trials on their path and spontaneously and lovingly offering them up.

It is not God who determines whether, and to what degree, a human soul offers Him the trials and crosses of her life, and whether or not she does so in the spirit of the Divine Redeemer; all of this is determined by each individual soul herself. That is why the human soul was given a free will, which God will on no condition ever violate".
